BBQ AT XIUU'S HOUSE!

went to yingxiu's house to BBQ ytd evening. haha not been there for kinda a long time. only the brats have been there regularly that it has become there 2nd home. hahaz.

met up at 3 at yunny's house. rushed out of my house coz i only knew at 230 that we meeting at 3. as a result, didnt bring my cam! which explains the lack of photos on this very successful BBQ since my phone sux big time and cant take pictures.currently yunny's passing me some pics that she took wif her phone..

anyway.. went to yunny's house to deposit the fried rice before shopping at hougang point at Xtra NTUC. Bought $120+ worth of food and drinks. well. partially thanks to our incessant want for the beef..haha and the beer and red wine which didnt turn out too well..

xiuu's family helped us to marinate the stuff and her sisters did quite a bit of bbqing for us. and creative tay helped us to write names for our cups. haha can still remember :

Sunday

Went to church early in the morning. didnt go wif family coz they were going for 2nd service. in the end realised that was gonna meet warren and derek around 3 so walked around Suntec for an hour. explored the place.. haha. went to the koi garden. this is the 1st time i walked around Suntec without any rush so somehow found myself strolling there. didnt noe y but i felt like feeding the koi..one pack of fish food cost $2. but felt so weird feeding the fish alone.

never knew there was a pet shop in Suntec. while trying to find my way back to the MRT station walking from the fountain there, stumbled upon a pet shop. it was closed but there were so many rabbits and hamsters there. haha dunno why i had this sudden tot.. call me crazy but as i was looking at the animals, i felt that it would be nice if one of a future date next time is to Suntec and den can go feed koi together and look at the animals in the pet shop. haha. ok. firstly is whether he's an animal lover or find that feeding fishes are dumb -.- .ok *chase away the wandering thoughts*

walked around far east and taka while waiting for warren and derek to come. ahah saw junxian working at Orchard MRT in the purple uniform. kinda tough job if u have to stand there directing pple to the right direction for like 8 hrs. sad sad. The Far East outlet of Tinkerbell was no longer there.. and my dream shoe at URS is still only at 10% discount. oh well..

In the end none of us bought anything. went to Billy Bombers to eat. My 1st time there. Just ate some fingerfood. walked around for a while more den Warren had to book back in le. His long field camp thing coming up so wont see him around for sometime. lolz. 6 days in the wilderness.

TGIF thnk god its friday. its been a long time since i last felt so happy about a friday. work has drained alot of energy. actually dun do much.. just the sian-ness in the air. SIANZ.

first week of work passed. kinda fun coz got everyone around. but as the weeks pass by, less pple to joke around and stuff and the number of PL pple will dwindle.sighz.. so much office politics around. haha luckily it is not in the small circle of call centre pple. hate office politics.

tmr got BBQ and xiuuuuuuu's house..gonna buy shoes b4 that.. hahaz.

ANYWAYZ.. ATTN TO ALL THE CALL CENTRE AGENTS FROM REEDS! hahaz..honestly honestly honestly, -_- there is NO, i repeat NO, nothing, na-dah,no a single bit or traces of anything that ur are speculating. it is rather disturbing..haha. its like rather weird too coz i can assure u, it is not true.. as for yunny, i can assure u its not the same as last time when u said the same thing. hahz

2nd day of work!!.. its stress and fun at the same time. made calls to all over the world. The best is still Japan. the pple there are so nice and i like their ringing tone. Couldnt understand the accent of the Aus pple. Nigeria..well.. connection for some calls were really bad and their ringtone is the doooot sound so for one moment i thought that the call could not get through. haiz. but im way below target. only called 50 pple today, 1/2 of my target. worrying.. coz i dunno why so little. hy did ard 70? den tmr got another 100+ today's 50 to call. 150.. plus 20 more emails to send to Europe countries. tmr must jiayou. but i like the fact that got so many of us there hahaz

Dunno how i will feel after i start work tmr.. maybe i will blog once a week? haha. gotta see the workload and how much energy will be drained out of me.

SAT
Went to Hougang to go KBOX-ING! yup the long overdue kbox-ing session..met up with everyone at 1.. Sheryl's bag is super cool. sewing it out of curtain like stuff.haha its so like her..
anway, we went to the KBOX at hougang plaza. sang from 2-7pm. beeen soooo soooo loong since we last step into a kbox.

After that had to leave earlier as in i left at 7 while the rest were still singing. took an MRT down to City Hall to meet Warren at Marina Square. hahaz. suppose to go there to shop but somehow couldnt find much. guess Marina is not a place to go shopping. It didnt help that everything was closing.

Sunday
Met Warren at Bugis coz told him that the Topman there was having a sale. but neither of us bought anything. me.. well i was restricted by the lack of money. haiz money money woes. I still wanna buy what Sheryl called my " first love", this pair of shoes from URS which cost $40 after discount. im not buying it of course. its a freaking $40. but its so nice and comfy.. arghz..

anywayz, didnt shop for long..war didnt feel like shopping so he headed home 1st coz he needed to book in while i went to AMK to meet the rest. haha was kinda surprise to see Kelvin there. Anywayz i was the latest.reached at 2. Derek,Bwing, Boss, Junxian and Kelvin all reached earlier. went over to KFC to eat. didnt really have much appetite. not too sure why.

After that LAN! *excited* haha. Girls like to play games too. Kelvin was super pro at CS. *shoot geo down!* =D hahaha i wanna go again. cant play enough of it. left that place at 7. had to rush home..

work starts tmr. still in my slacker's mood.wanna watch anime.. at Episode 140 for Bleach. still got a couple more to go to catch up with the screening in Japan. haiz. work..haiz...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYLVIA!!!!!

Went to Bugis with yunny,YXs(xiu and yixian) and tay. Doing one of my favourite past time: shop shop shop! spend a little time at the mall before heading down to Bugis Street..


All of us bought stuff there. Limited by the lack of $.haha. shopped from 3- 5+. In the end we didnt manage to really walk around the 1st level of Bugis Street coz we started on the 2nd level. There was something very puzzling though. Dun really comprehend why pple will want to bring their babies to Bugis Street. We encountered at least 4 prams there. The pathway being rather narrow, the pram practically takes up the whole path space. Not that i have anything against mum's who wanna bring their kids out but to Bugis Street where it is like perpetually crowded doesnt really make much sense. Furthermore Bugis Street isnt the cleanest place so wont it be kinda dangerous especially for babies to go there? ?_?

Come to think of it, somehow this is the 3rd time i feel sick after walking in Bugis Street for ard 1 hr plus. Last couple of times there felt like my stomach was going to explode when going home from Bugis. Yesterday wasnt much of an exception. felt rather sick after a while.. but wasnt that bad.. thankfully when i really felt im gonna empty the contents of my stomach, the feeling died down as sudden as it came. den after eating a little at long john and sitting down the feeling disappeared. hmmmz... haizzz.. dunno..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYLVIA!

Started going to the outside world again yesterday.

Had to wake up super early in the morning i.e 7.30am to bathe my baby (sumo).yunny and yx came over at 9.30am. haha was expecting them to be late but surprise! they were on time so i wasnt exactly ready. left for yixian's house at 11+ coz xiu wanna leech lunch at yixian's house. lolz.

went there to play bridge. was a super funny game coz xiu was normally the last to noe who is her partner den yunny and her called each other Amateurs. Ate lunch there while watching Ratatouille though xiu and yx watch it already. It was defintitely nicer than Bee Movie. Pixar films are good.

tuna came at ard 1 and after a while left for school to see the CCA Fair.

The First thought that came to my mind when i saw the choir booth -_-"" what a sucky place. Why on earth do they put the aesthetic CCAs downstairs where there will be hardly any traffic..
haish. went to watch choir performance. thinking since it was the LT shouldnt use mike.. but den again, it may be too soft.

saw yunny's bro,ruihong. as what yunny said, he signed up for sports CCA. haha everytime i see him, i will be reminded that he's really tall coz somehow the image of the smaller younger version of ruihong few years back when he was still shorter than me and when his voice sounded so much like yunny's. hahaha.

saw jialin's sis too. 1st time i saw all the new j1s. not alot of PL pple ba.walk ard, talked, slacked, give out cca brochures.. den received the msg that everyone not eating at yixian's house le. so went out wif bwing, boss, jx and tyson for dinner after we toured around in the staff room. 1st time ive been into the staff room. went in coz boss needed to get something from ms peh. hahaz. feels good to be able to go in.. haiz. but it also means that results to A levels are coming back. the dread that i feel is hundred folds worse than how i felt during Os result.

Reminiscing
haha ahgong yongkit said something which made me feel so old. said something like" one year ago, at this time u were going out with us, ur OG. one year down i'm now going out with my OG"
lolz. time past really fast.. can still remember how i 1st met my OG like it was ytd.

chalet!!

Haha..ok this post is kinda overdue. tuna had a half post about the chalet before she was too lazy to continue.lolz.

As said earlier on, was super happy when my parents allowed me to go to the chalet wif yunny, yx,junie,sheryl and tuna. despite coming home late. anyway, went to Katong to eat the Katong Laksa for lunchon New Year Day. Mum said that we should spend sometime together as a family since my sis will be leaving for Aus end of this month.

The funny part was that my parents were the extcited pple look around and wanting to try the food while me and my sis just trudge along, having the thought that the further we walk, the further we have to walk back to the car. generation gap.

After that met up with tuna and junie on the bus to downtown to be freeloaders. hahaz i think this is gonna become our yearly routine, to be freeloaders when hy's family is having chalet.heh heh. My ez link card on the 1st jan was still student, not too sure why.so only junie felt the pinch. haha cairong was already paying adult fare so i guess she will be used to it.

Shall give a brief summary of stuff before picking up where cairong stopped. Unlike last year, when we reached there, only 2 of yunny's cousin was there. guess the rest went home. ruihong, yunny's bro wasnt there either. hahaz. no seeing any clashes between rh and tuna.( im gonna get killed for saying this :P) was kinda paiseh and amused at the same time when the hy's aunt who came to pick up the remaining 2 cousins said " see you all end of this year again". lolz

ok for what happen next, can read tuna's blog. hahaz.

from where she left off: we went to eat dinner and waited for yingxiu to come.. wanted to eat my Unagi Udon but the shop closed. bah!.. anywayz.xiu came ard 9+ bringing wif her six bottles of Bacardi Breezer!

went back to the room to watch " The Omen". didnt dare to watch it alone at home so brought it along. it was a little creepy but ok. not terrific or anything. but still wouldnt dare to watch it at home. im the kind that was hiding under the blanket 60% of the movie ju-on while yunny was laughing :P.

Cant really remember what happened after that. think was kinda tired. yunny xiu tuna and tay started playing bridge while junie read her harry potter and i was on the phone wif SD=). talked for around an hour. den we realise none of us brought the bottle opener for breezer. heh. we tried all means and ways( coin,keys,icebox in the fridge,door) to try to open it before tay xiu and junie went to cheers to get it open. During this time, Tuna showed us her Nintendo DS. i was hooked onto it. so much so that yunny and i were playing wif it while the rest tried to open the bottles again coz cheers was closed.

Tuna managed to finally open the bottle using some parts of the microwave!! dunno how though. anywayz, i dunno whether it was psycholoigcally or mayb i was tired but when i drank the breezer( on an empty stomach) suddenly felt very warm and sleepy. was still trying to complete the case in the game on the DS while the rest played bridge.

cut the long story short, around 3 plus 4, all of us started playing on the DS " are you smarter than a fifth grader". slowly everyone started to fall asleep. at 5am, the survivors were xiu, tay and me. 5.30am, xiu KO-ed while tay and i played cooking mama. hahaz.

KO-ed at 6am while tay continued playing. she wanted to go home at 6 but in the end when i woke up at 9.30 from yunny's consistent alarm, tay was sleeping. hahaz. in the end i woke up to switch of the alarm and tay woke up next. hahaz we were rather amuse that both of us fell asleep the latest and was the 1st to wake up.

watched kids central till 11.30 before checking out. haha. tay watches kid central too. im not the only one.

went of to white sands to eat Ya Kun, went to the arcade and play. touched DDR for the 1st time after so long. but i still prefer the good old 3rd mix.shall go to amk jubilee and play one day. everywhere was having sales but my hands were tied coz i have yet to receieve any pay and im utterly broke.

reached home ard 3pm, dead tired.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

New YEar's Eve!
Went for my last day at work at Goodwins. felt kinda sad coz just i started to enjoy working there, its ending. i dont look forward to waking up early in the morning to go to work, but i did look forward to going there and meeting pple there. haiz.

Met Warren and Wee at after work. We were suppose to go to the movies but thanks to the eve of the New Year thingy, we couldnt get any seats so from 3-5 plus, we ate talk and shop. hahz. Derek joined us after his work at around 5 plus. think my stamina is dropping coz felt rather tired after walking for that 2+ hours..

We went over to the Esplanade at around 8 to get sets. Its a freaking 4 hours before the countdown yet when we went there, it was so crowded! we couldnt get any good spot. somehow we manage to find pple from 0619 like Lisin so we sat somewhat behind them. the wait was long and stuffy. News predicted that there would be around 160,000. yup there were definitely that much pple.

we did the craziest thing we ever done in 2007. haha it started off wif wee wanting to do the craziest thing before the year end. i think on the crazyiness scale it would be 3/5.hahaz. definitely a memorable New year eve :P. next year raise the stakes to 5/5! haha

the Fireworks were really splendid. i was super speechless when i saw the fireworks. Especially at the part when the fireworks actually burst according to the music. Seeing fireworks life is definitely much nicer than in TV.

However if you ask me if i will go back again, it will be an absolute NO NO NO.if the waiting for the fireworks was bad enough, trying to get out of the place is a million times worse. there was just so many pple pushing and trying to get out. super thankful that warren and derek was there, coz like what wee and i felt, if it was only both of us, instead of pushing our way through, we would be pushed around. mayb i'll go again when im older, perhaps 21

finally got out of the crowd after pushing for like 45mins. what a nightmare. reached home at around 2am. must say a BIG Thank you to warren's dad for fetching..if took public transport home, i dun even fathom the time i will reach home when i was suppose to reach home by 1am. super high when my parents allowed me to go to the chalet which i just came back from despite not coming home on time. this is of course not without 2 long lectures from them both.

shall blog about the chalet another day. my whole freaking post got deleted when my internet went off. and the autosave didnt work..bleaghx


New Year resolutions
~get a new blogskin. hahaz.
~earn at least 5k by the end of this year

~learn a new skill ( or join sheryl in her dressmaking or junie in baking or yunny in knitting.lol.)

~taking up a martial art. ( continue aikido? i dunno. kinda waste 1+ year if dun cont)


Testimony
been praying about 2 issues for the past weeks and days. firstly was the irritating eye pimple that kept recurring and poping out the past few days. especially on 2 days before New Year's day, this huge pimple just showed up. was so afraid that my New Year will be marred by the pimple. thankfully, my prayers were answered when the pimple broke a day before New Year's Eve =)


For weeks, I was rather troubled over a certain issue.. i guess i was waiting for a sign from Jesus as to whether to cut and stop or to continue. was stuck at a crossroad and had no idea where to go. Finally, on the last day of 2007, i finally noe the path i should take. been wavering too long.. its the new year and a new beginning! i didnt expect 2 get my answer in that way but i guess in my heart, it was just a confirmation that i needed..feel less burdened now! AMEN!
